For a photographer, there are few things as satisfying as photographing friends — especially friends in love. Because of where I went to school, I’m fortunate to have frequent opportunities to do just this. This past year, I’ve have the pleasure of shooting multiple friends’ engagement photos. On this day, I took my roommate/bridesmaid, Gracie, and her fiancee, Luke, to the Turtle Creek area of Dallas to capture some photos for their save the dates.
After growing up on opposite sides of the country, Gracie and Luke found one another in the middle — quite literally — in Texas. Luke was an alum of the University of Dallas, and close friends with Gracie’s brother. Gracie was a student at UD and connected with Luke by chance at the school’s nearby minimart. As the cliche goes, the rest was history.
